with tonight's definitely a nice evening for film... :)
It is a cute comedy... a story about a lonesome, weird yet smart teenager.
The film doesn't really tell when the story happened, but it should be a time without web, when everything becomes simple, nice and warm... there are letters typed from typewriter, the 8mm film, and polaroid... the so simple, naive, yet cute and wonderful days.
And I like the simple story - it doesn't need to be something big, but most importantly touches your heart. The film is so extaordinary in the way it presents the feelings of the young boy - the slow motion, freeze shots are so funny yet warm.
Not to mention the sea. I really like watching and hearing waves hitting the shores :)
after watching the film it reminded me of the good old days of high school with pagers... and think about you :)
Missed the young and carefree days.
